It says I will get a court date notification in 4-8 weeks. I already had the registration, just hadnt put it on yet, and did not have the hard copy with me. So I have already put it on, and if it were a city citation I would just drive over to the courthouse and show them, they would typically throw the ticket out then. Unfortunately this says it is a federal citation.

I would love to just pay the ticket and be on with it.I don't like the idea of waiting 2 months, completely forgetting about it. Then surprise! I went to the website and its just a verbatim copy of the paragraph on the citation telling you to wait for a court date in the mail. I'm sure this has happened to many people seeing how the guards job is to look for it.

Best Answer: Your court date is for a Magistrate court on the installation. If your car was legally registered when she wrote you that ticket but you just didn't stick the new sticker on just take the registration, showing that it was legally registered before you received the citation and the JAG prosecutor will throw it out before you have to stand in front of the judge. Now the problem you might have is trying to explain to the prosecutor why you did not have two minutes to put that new sticker on your plate. But technically, legally you were not in violation of an expired registration so if that is what the ticket (DD 1805) I presume states, then the prosecutor will have to toss it but not before he lets you know what a lazy ** you were about it. Oh and when they check mandatory court date, that is it, No other way around it and let your chain of command know you need some time off to go to court. Just like civilian court a FEDERAL Magistrate can issue a bench warrant and perhaps that same 'chick' will find you, cuff you and take you down to the LE center to be charged with a FTA.
