The unit performance could have been better and also the window kit leaves a small gap due to the bad design but can easily be fixed with tape. The unit is quite portable with modular windows kit making easy to move around the house. The unit is not that loud but the silent mode is not as silent as i have hoped but when it reach the set temperatures it actually quite quiet but at random intervals it will resume. This might not suit well in larger room/living room. It best suited on single small bedroom/office. So my rooms upstairs.
Roughly a 3x4 metre room. This aircon hits the sweet spot. Its able to cool my room to 23'C in 2 hours under 30-35'C heat. Any room bigger than what I specified, you may need a stronger air conditioner. Is it silent? It is more silent than its other competitiors. Goldrake Episodi Ita.
I would say it is the most silent airconditioner I've ever owned, and I've owned 2 in the past that have broken down. This airconditioner has lasted me 3 years.
All in all, I would only buy these air conditioners for bedrooms, and not for lounge rooms of master bedrooms. Awful service.
My portable AC DeLonghi C2.5kW (PACCN86) stopped working within a month. When the authorise repair centre (All General Whitegoods Services) tried to fix it, DeLonghi sent the wrong spare parts. Eventually, DeLonghi agreed to replace my AC, but, it has been more than one month, I haven't received any replacement. I reported my broken AC on 1st of Jan 2017, and I am yet to get a replacement. In this sweltering summer, my five months son needs the AC the most and DeLonghi is not sympathetic at all.
The customer service was clueless about any update, and they were rude and arrogant at times; poor communication and coordination between DeLonghi and the authorised De'Longhi Repair Centre (All General Whitegoods Services). They blamed each other for delays.
I am not impressed at all. When we first got this aircon, it worked very well, and could cool our apartment down to 18'C within an hour. Unfortunately, this didn't last, and within six months it started filling with ice. A few months later it stopped filling with ice. But also stopped actually making anything colder. It's fairly portable and isn't too hard to move between rooms, although it tends to leak water when you move it. The plastic in-window duct outlet comes in two adjustable sizes, neither of which fit, although some creative use of cardboard and duct tape adjustments left it functional.
It claims to be their 'silent' model, but it's definitely not silent. Even on the silent mode, it's still too loud to make a phone call next to. But even on the strongest and loudest fan mode, it's nowhere near 'jet engine', and it is quieter than many air conditioners. The warranty is good, but navigating their website to find a service center is a bit tricky. And of course, you have your rights under consumer law, which apply to anything you buy in Australia anyway.
